*All the photos were taken by me here in Málaga, and Málaga it´s not all Andalucía but these ones were some I had here in my pc.
Today is my land´s day, Andalucía.
So the entry couldn´t be otherwise, celebrating with an orange juice while having a sunbath in the promenade, one of my favorite things in the world.
Although if it´s on noon, I change those for a coke, some "espetos" (5 sardines crossed in a stick and grilled) and eggplants with molasses.
I´m 100% Andalusian, from Málaga, my parents are from Jerez as my grandparents were, although I have a half Basque grandfather, but that doesn´t take my pedigree away, I´m very very Andalusian.
¿so how can we check that?
A few things contradicts me, like I don´t know how to dance and that I have no special art telling jokes...
Anyway, being andalusian is not just telling jokes and dancing flamenco, thanks to God,yes, it´s also very good, telling jokes and dancing flamenco, but that´s not the important point on being andalusian.
To be andalusian is to be able to look forward in your life, and with happiness say...
- Is this the little I have? then, I enjoy the most
- So I have 5 free minutes? let me sunbath in the portal stairs
- illo(andalusians say this like dude) you don´t have for a coffe? don´t worry, I do, I still got for some coffe :D
-Compadre(like friend) I went to the floor coming here and I´ve been applaused even by the drivers in their cars, what the hell
And I do all this things very well ;)
Being andalusian is being a lot of things, and many little ones that only can be seen living here, but mostly there are many things that define us(not our andalusian dialect or that charactesitic accent we have) and it´s our joy, our generosity and our gour struggle in life whatever it comes.
For those things and much more I´m proud of being andalusian.
Viva Andalucía, viva!!!
