Euskera(Basque), that great unknwon outside Euskadi, is a language that in addition being unpronounceable for a foreigner, has many words that they are so different from the Spanish that can result very funny, not all is "kas, Rs and txes", although if there are many!

I lived 3 years in Bilbao, my couple is from there, I have great Basque friends and Basque Country is my second home, but for a 100% Malaguita like me, the language was something that I ignored viewing that it would be impossible for me because it is complicated, but, when you go to a site one has to learn some rules of courtesy for respect to the place, which along with my habit of reading the signs out loud and my good habit of always asking what I do not know ... I have done a mix of "AndalusianBasque" of very pretty, or very "polita", or whichever you prefer.

So I will teach you some words that I particularly like or that I have adopted for me..

Lesson 1. Nice vocabulary.

Gabon: Goodnight. I left it for me, apart from that sounds good, is much shorter than Goodnight, and everyone knows there is nothing to like more for an Andalusian to save letters ;))

Muxu: Kiss. This is also adopted, do not tell me that a musu doesn´t sound lovely!

Karramarro: Crab. My favorite word in Euskera ever, was the first I learned that was not written in signs, and sounds so strongly that I could not stop repeating, karramarro, karramarro, karramaro. In fact I repeated so much that if I´m on the beach and I saw a crab I first say " karramarro"!!

Txerritxu: Pig. Do not tell me it's not funny, cherrichu, cherrichu can only be a pink pig with the face of good people! (tx sounds like ch in spanish or ch in english, like charming for example)

Polita: Beautiful. Polita it sounds like polillita(little moth) a word in spanish I love too, and it is a nice word, as its name suggests.

Txanogorritxu: Little Red Riding Hood. What do you think on chanogorrichu, eh? That greatest curse! No, not a curse, is Little Red Riding Hood tale, my favorite tale character.

Enough fot today´s lesson,I know more many words, but I will not stun with my great wisdom, ;P

PS: This post is dedicated to my partner. (today comes to see me) and my friend Miren, my little Basque par excelence.
